Who are we?

Who are we?

In Biognosys we are dedicated to transforming life sciences with next generation proteomics solutions. Founded in 2008 as a spin‑off from the lab of proteomics pioneer Ruedi Aebersold at ETH Zurich, Biognosys today is an established leader in next-generation proteomics. From our global headquarters just outside of Zurich, we operate one of the largest proteomics facilities worldwide and make the most advanced proteomics solutions available to life science researchers across industry and academia. We believe that the decoding of the proteome will impact life science more than the genome revolution a decade ago, and is already revolutionizing precision medicine. Deep, multi-dimensional insights on protein expression, function, and structure at large scale, will enable breakthrough discoveries that bring life science to a new level. Biognosys’ next generation solutions provide a unique depth of quantitative data that reveals the full information content in the proteome with unbeatable precision and depth. Our workflows rely on mass spectrometry, which allows simultaneous quantification of thousands of proteins in a single experiment. Our mission is to enable researchers worldwide to effortlessly benefit from this technology by providing superior and easy to use analytical platforms. This is possible through our portfolio of innovative reagent and software products, our contract research services, and a unique personalized support throughout the whole workflow.

Biognosys’ solutions are applied in biomarker research, drug and target discovery, pathway modelling, mechanisms of action studies and many other areas. Our leading expertise in next‑generation proteomics is recognized by top pharma and biotech companies, as well as world’s leading academic institutions.
